Who is eligible for the CAW Group Insurance Program at discounted rates?
Any member of the CAW who is actively employed (including those on disability leave), or who is on layoff or is retired. Also eligible are the spouses and dependant children of these members as well as surviving spouses of retirees.
If I live where automobile insurance is only available through the government such as B.C., Manitoba and Saskatchewan, am I still eligible to participate in the CAW Group Insurance Program?
You are eligible to purchase property insurance through the CAW Group Insurance program, including Homeowners, Condo, and Tenants insurance at group rates.
Can I participate in the program if I have a leased vehicle?
Leased vehicles are eligible for the program.
What insurance products are available in the CAW Group Insurance Program?
Automobile and home insurance are available through the CAW Group Insurance Program. However, because we have partnered with Breckles Insurance, an independent insurance broker, all your insurance needs can be provided for at preferred rates including cottages, boats, recreational vehicles and trailers.
Is my spouse or child eligible to participate in the CAW Group Insurance Program?
Spouses and dependant children under 25 living at home or attending an educational institution on a full time basis are eligible for the CAW Group.

Do I have to purchase or lease a vehicle to participate in the CAW Group Insurance Program?
No, you can obtain insurance on your current vehicle from the program at preferred group rates.
What happens if I cancel my existing policy mid term to join the CAW Group Insurance Program?
Your current insurance company will likely charge a cancellation penalty. We recommend that you request a no obligation quotation 60 days prior to your current insurance expiry. This way you can participate in the program without penalty.
